- Synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles and their controlled aggregation in one, two and three dimensional arrays;
- Use of nanoparticles for the preparation of materials with tailored properties, with emphasis on electron transfer, plasmonics and non linear optical properties;
- Use of nanoparticles in nanobiotechnology, for applications such as drug delivery, imaging and biosensing.
