Dr. Steve Roberts from the Office of University Partnerships at Oak Ridge Associated Universities will be visiting Rutgers and giving a seminar on areas of interest for partnership, provide an update on research and education opportunities and identify strategic research areas.

The Office of University Partnerships is responsible for enhancing ORAU's scientific research opportunities and expanding partnerships with universities, national laboratories and private industry. The office also provides awards to ORAU member universities and identifies and promotes funding opportunities.

ORAU and Oak Ridge National Laboratories (ORNL) have identified specific topical areas of greater interest for partnerships. ORNL has principal interest in neutron sciences, computational applications, and climate change research. ORAU core competencies are in the field of 1) Radiation Emergency Response and Operational Readiness; 2) Environmental Health, Analysis and Communications; 3) Forensic Analysis; 4) Science Workforce Development and Evaluation; and 5) Technical Training.
