Please join us in congratulating Professor Dunbar P. Birnie III, Corning-St. Gobain -- Malcolm G. McLaren Distinguished Chair of Ceramic Engineering on being elected a Fellow of the American Ceramic Society!  Fellows are chosen by reason of outstanding contributions to the ceramic arts or sciences; through broad and productive scholarship in ceramic science and technology, by conspicuous achievement in ceramic industry or by outstanding service to the Society. Dunbar Birnie was a founding member of IAMDN and a leader in the growing enterprise of the interdisciplinary science on the Rutgers Campus.
