The Laboratory for Surface Modification (LSM) will host the Twenty-Fifth Annual LSM Symposium on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. The symposium will focus on experimental and theoretical studies of surfaces, interfaces and their applications, as well as nanoscale phenomena. We will include both oral and poster presentations; contributed talks will be 15 minutes long (including short discussion).
The program will include invited "Highlight Presentations" from two speakers:
Andrew Rappe Departments of Chemistry,
University of Pennsylvania
Rudolf Trump IBM T.J. Watson Research Center
Yorktown Heights, NY
This meeting provides an excellent opportunity for Rutgers graduate students and postdocs to present their work in a friendly atmosphere. Of course, faculty members are welcome to speak as well.
A Student Prize of $150 will be awarded for both the best Oral Presentation and the best Poster Presentation. Please indicate if the author is a student entering this competition. Note that the prize will be awarded to the first author listed for the presentation. A student and their research project may NOT be presented both as a poster and orally.
