Organic semiconductor single crystals has made the best performing organic transistors by realizing near intrinsic charge transport of pi-conjugated molecular systems. Starting from the development and fabrication methods of the single crystal transistors, the seminar features experiments for fundamental carrier transport mechanisms and further progresses recently:
1) transistors of multilayered crystals, 2) single crystal transistors of n-type and newly synthesized compounds, and 3) low-power devices at solid-to-liquid interfaces of organic crystals and ionic liquid.
