Airborne Reconnaissance Low-Enhanced (ARL-E)

Tuesday, January 26, 2016

The United States Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) intends to solicit and award an Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, with Cost Reimbursement and Fixed Price task orders for a period of five (5) years for the Airborne Reconnaissance Low - Enhanced (ARL-E) system which includes Mission Equipment Payload (MEP) design, MEP systems integration, aircraft integration, testing, configuration management, technical and logistics support, and sensor procurement for the Airborne Reconnaissance Low - Enhanced (ARL-E) Systems. The ARL-E system will replace nine (9) ARL-Multifunction (ARL-M) systems with nine (9) ARL-E systems through upgrading the air platform from existing Dash 7 to Dash 8-315 Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) airframes, re-hosting/upgrading current ARL sensors, adding new QRC sensors [Wide Area Surveillance (WAAS), Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR), Hyper Spectral Imaging (HSI)], and integrating with Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A). ARL-E supports a rapid plug and play, quick connect/disconnect, mounting system to allow the installation of various combinations of sensor-types in support of a wide-range of theater operations. ARL-E will provide tactical commanders the ability to persistently monitor their operational environment, allowing them to rapidly identify, track and respond to potential threats. Task Orders will be awarded as requirements are defined.
